How To Prolong Your Summer Tan

September has arrived and your vacation may seem nothing more than a distant memory...but your tan lines say otherwise.
Find out how to get the most mileage out of your tan with our five essential tips.

1. Cold Showers
(Or as cool as you can handle!)
Hot baths and showers dehydrate the skin, which means faster peeling. Showering at a cooler temperature will help your skin retain more moisture, and in turn your tan will last longer.

2. Swap Your Body Wash
Consider swapping out your normal body wash for an extra moisturizing version, or better yet a Shower Oil. This will help lock in as much moisture as possible while washing.

3. H2O A Go
Yes, hydration is key here, in every form. You may no be longer in 35 degree heat, but that's no reason to cool off on drinking water. Not only does it help keep your skin looking plump and fresh, it also prolongs the life of those nicely tanned cells of yours.

4. Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize!
Slather on as much product as you can to maintain a sunkissed glow. This will help lock your tan in by minimizing skin flaking. Try to avoid lotions that include petroleum, and instead stick to natural moisturizers such as cocoa butter, aloe vera and coconut oil. These will soak in deeper and help nourish your skin cells.

5. Eat Your Greens
Vitamin E is essential to great skin. Broccoli, apricots, apples, watermelon and sunflower seeds are rich in this all-star vitamin, so eat up for gorgeous, glowing skin.
